The idea is to create pages here that describe (step 1) the layout we're thinking of for the NSS website.

Some ideas for change from
http://www.nss.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=6 :
Second - what's the meta-architecture/structure of the site we want
what structures support the goals we have?
for example, portraying the NSS vision of the future can probably be done with a static collection of web pages, but building community requires interactivity of some sort. Do we need to couple the website to email distributions and other forms of communication with our members? What kinds of member content are we interested in having on our site, and how do we make it easy to get to, etc.?
ie. specifically, blogs with comments? Bulletin boards? More petitions? Highlight the letters section?
should members or groups be able to create their own "nss.org" sites, like 'apsmith.nss.org', or 'stlouis.nss.org'?
how frequently does content need to be updated to "build community" and attract repeat visitors?
(a set of static web pages will likely only attract people once, or at least until they've had time to read enough of the site to get a feel for it).
how does existing content fit in with these goals and sectors? On the WebsiteExistingDesign page I listed the content areas I could think of... Where should these fit in under the new organization, or should we throw some of them out?
